Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships Benefits

The Commonwealth Scholarship gives the following benefits to recipients:

Flights from the scholar’s home country to the UK and back at the end of the award (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependent or journeys booked before the award is confirmed).
Full tuition fees are paid through an agreement between the CSC and the UK University, and scholars are not required to pay any portion of the tuition charge.
Stipend (living allowance) of £1,347 per month for students attending universities in the London metropolitan area, or £1,652 per month for those attending universities outside the London metropolitan area (rates listed at current levels).
Allowance for warm clothing, if applicable.
Study travel grant for study-related travel inside the UK or abroad
If a scholar has children and is widowed, divorced, or a single parent, they will receive a child allowance of £576.61 per month for the first child and £143 per month for the second and third children under the age of 16, provided they live at the same address in the UK.

Required Documents for Commonwealth Scholarships Application

To complete your application, you must submit the below supporting documents:

Please keep in mind that candidates must collect references from referees on institution letterhead or an email clearly displaying the sender’s details, then upload them in PDF format to the application portal along with their other supporting material.
The references must be provided to the application system by the application deadline, and we will not accept references in any other way or after this date.
The following documents must be uploaded with the application:
Evidence showing they are a citizen or have refugee status in a Commonwealth country: a copy of a valid passport (or national ID card) with a photo, date of birth, and country of citizenship.
complete transcripts of any higher education degrees, along with any current transcripts for any classes being taken, and, if not in English, certified translations. The application will be turned down if any transcripts are incomplete or don’t contain all of the required pages.
At least two references, in PDF format, on institutional letterhead, or in an email with the sender’s name clearly visible
The application will be disqualified if any required supporting materials are not submitted by the deadline.
The CSC will not accept supplementary documents submitted via any other method than the online application process.

Referees should be asked to provide as many details as they can about the applicant when filling out the references, keeping in mind the following details to include, if appropriate:

The referee’s assessment of the applicant’s eligibility for the proposed scholarship and the necessity for the specific subject of study in the UK

Please keep in mind that there is no fee to apply for any of the CSC’s scholarships or fellowships through its online application system.

Commonwealth Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be a citizen of, or have been given refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person to be considered for these scholarships.
Be a permanent resident of a Commonwealth country.
Be ready to begin academic studies in the UK at the beginning of the UK academic year in September 2024.
Hold a first degree with at least upper second-class (2:1) honours or a lower second-class degree and an appropriate postgraduate diploma (typically a Master’s degree) by September 2024. A second Master’s degree is not generally funded by the CSC. When applying for a second Master’s degree, applicants must explain why they want to pursue this course of study.
To be able to study in the UK, the applicant must have this scholarship.

Here is how to apply for the Commonwealth Scholarship 2024/2025 Application

First of all, go to the Commonwealth Scholarship website.
Applications to the CSC must be submitted online through the CSC’s application system.

The CSC will not accept applications or documentation that is not submitted through the online application system. Applicants must apply to a nominating agency in addition to the CSC.
